Spool cabinets

While roaming around at the Elkhorn Flea Market, we saw plenty of antique spool cabinets!! No room in my suitcases though!! 

Today's adventure

One of my favorite stops while in Wisconsin is to Edwards Apple Orchard in Illinois. OMG!! The apples are amazing! The donuts?? Fabulous!!

A quickie!

My friend Pat was selling jelly rolls out of homespuns for a real easy and quick quilt. I wanted to make something as a gift and I think this is perfect. 

Unfortunately this wasn't on my list nor was it from fabric I brought with me. Oh well. I'll have room in my suitcase because I'm going to leave my heavy coat at Debbie's for my next trip in February!!

Bullseye done

I found a fabulous border print for my bullseye quilt so that one is now off the UFO list!! I got a brushed homespun for the back so it is going to be really soft and cuddly! 

Retreat time is going by fast but it's just been fabulous!!

Getting something done

I got a border on my little top using leftover half square triangles!

And my friend Debbie Dodge has been showing off her very tiny basket block (2"!!) so I decided to make one!

My bullseye top is done but I will post a picture after I get a border on it!!

Packing for the retreat

Ryan wanted to be ready for our Wisconsin retreat so he packed a bag of fabrics to take, along with a water bottle!!

Of course he wasn't coming but he was adorable! He really picked an empty bag and filled it from my cabinets with a variety of fabrics!! Then he put it in the front seat of my car!!

I'm having a fabulous time!! I will show you my finished projects so far!!
