I participated in a swap with my Wisconsin friends last year of quarter square triangles. I was inspired to finish it by Debbie Frey's completed top in Georgia.
I decided done was better than fancy!!
Hope you like it!

Finished something
I finally finished something! This is a pattern by Pat at Life's A Stitch Quilt Shoppe. It's called Stone Soup. Quick and easy!
I actually finished two other tops I'm leaving with Marge, a fabulous machine quilter in Wisconsin!! I'm having a great time and sad to leave my friends!

Sow-A-Long quilt
Janet has lovingly shared the top she's just about gotten together with our sow-a-long blocks. I think it's pretty spectacular! Thanks, Janet, for sharing.
I love the setting squares. I would never have thought of a plaid but they set the blocks so nicely. Don't you think?
Anybody else have one to share?? I'm done with my full time babysitting so I have some of a life back!
Love to you all,

Alive and well -- with short hair
Thanks to everyone for sharing their comments about bad haircuts. I guess it has happened to just about everyone at some point.
This haircut was so bad: I went to the gal who colors my hair the next day. Her reaction, when asked if she could fix it, was that it was an awful haircut and she tried to even it up. Still pretty awful.
I then went to my daughter's hairdresser for basically a redo. The end result is that the cut is now bearable. She did a great job with what she had. My hair is pretty short now but the curls don't look half bad! She textured it, which took out all the weight. I've never had that done, after so many haircuts by curly-hair specialists... And I think it's the way to go.
So, hair problem sort of fixed.
Now, you ask, where have I been? No, not crying over my hair.
Babysitting!!
My daughter was without a sitter for 3 weeks between the old one and the new one's start date. In for the rescue came Nana. I have been watching the two darlings for the past 3-1/2 weeks... It's been fabulous, but it meant that I was doing nothing else.
I'm now back. I will post some pictures in the next day, although Friday is Nana Day so I'm back to SF again tomorrow night.
I hope everyone is doing well and getting lots of sewing done.
Happy Valentines Day, by the way.
Love to you all,
Randy
