Downton Abbey costumes

When we were in Philadelphia our friends took us to the Winterthur Museum in estate-like grounds. We went to see the Downton Abbey costumes on display and were pleasantly surprised by another exhibit!!

Longwood Gardens near Philadelphia

We have a friend who is the director of the Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square near Philadelphia, and we recently had the chance to see him at the Gardens. OMG!! This is an amazing place to visit! Reminds me of a European estate! Here are some of the pictures I took. No quilts but the gardens and fountains are just beautiful!

Everything is garden related, including the bread and butter at the restaurant!

Bathrooms!! Each room has greenery in the ceiling! Oh and I've got to tell you that they have THE cleanest bathrooms I've ever seen!

These lily pads were imported and regrow every year!

Orchid gardens with such vibrant colors!

This area is being completely remodeled in the next couple of years!

This is a bell tower that chimes regularly! Very old!
