Sew I got to thinking (always dangerous) and think it might be fun to do a group project sewing the Farmers Wife quilt as a group!! There are a number of you who are interested in doing it or are already doing it. And we all need more projects, right? There might even already be a group in progress with a blog but we'd be starting anew.
So let me know if you're interested! I'm wondering if there are other crazies like me!
Off to the old Windy City today!!!
Randy
How "fast" are you going to be trying to make the blocks? I have seen this being done on blogs in the past, but I never joined in. Lori's doll QAL is my first. So I may be game, because I have considered this quilt, but I wouldn't be able to keep up with a very stiff pace. : )
ReplyDeleteI wish you all would stop tempting me with all of these wonderful quilts! I'm with Janet - I've thought of making it, but it may depend on the pace.
ReplyDeleteI started a farmer's wife about two years ago and think a group of like minded quilters would help keep me moving forward on it. As long as the pace was not too fast.
ReplyDeleteI have the book, templates, even the fabric. I would love to do this with a group, but at a resonable pace.
ReplyDeleteYour crazy!!
ReplyDeleteO.K. I'm ignoranat. What or who is Farmer's Wife? 'cuse me for saying so but aren't you starting that red and white follow- along? I've revamped my blog, check it out and let me know what you think, please? Call me when you get back from Chicago so we can do some sewing. cheers, Claire W.
ReplyDeleteHmmm, a qualified maybe?? I've got the book, I've even got the fabrics and paper-piecing patterns. They're all sitting there - seasoning!! Could this be the year??? Maybe!! doni @ Oregon coast
ReplyDeleteNow I really feel stupid 'cause I googled it and saw the picture and realised that Lori had shown me that picture and we had discussed it at Sunriver. Yikes, where is my memory these days! Oh well, cheers, any way...CW
ReplyDeleteI will join you. Like Marj, I have some of the blocks completed but haven't touched it for quite some time. I'm with the others on the pace. I'm my guild's quilt show chair for 2013 (I know it's only 2012...these things take time! :) ) plus other guild projects and I'll admit I'm not very disciplined. That's what retirement has done for me!
ReplyDeleteI have the book, I have the desire, but do I have the time? As with some of the others, I'd be interested in a group that keeps a slow and steady pace. And one that doesn't demand that every participant make every block.
ReplyDeleteI would be interested :)
ReplyDeleteI have the book and a great way to keep trying to use up those scrap baskets!
Kathie
I have the book, cd, and all the fabrics to finish it. I have a couple of months blocks done but would love some more encouragement and helpful hints for certain blocks. Would love to participate.
ReplyDeleteI'm interested. I have the book and that's as far as I've gotten!
ReplyDeleteOK, I have the blocks cut out from working a third shift job taking care of a patient. Only a few sewn up. SO include me, please.~
ReplyDeleteLucy~
Hi Randy! I'm interested, but it would need to be at that slow and steady pace. Fun to read your blog!
ReplyDeletePlease include me...I have the book, the templates cut out, and a few blocks made...need more prodding and inspiration from a group like yours!
ReplyDeleteI'd consider it as well...I don't have the book, but have seen the blocks on a number of blogs. Keep us posted!
ReplyDeleteHeard about your sow along over on Bonnie's blog.
ReplyDeleteI have the book and the extra CD but haven't gotten the nerve to start .
I will join and try to catch up and keep up. Thanks for all the help on cutting.
Bought the book when it came out. Bought the EQ CD also. Hve done only three blocks. I'd love to join the group and actually finish the quilt. Thank you for starting this group. Thanks to bonnie I read about your endeavor. Sonia
