A little sewing going on

My friend Claire came over today and we spent the morning sewing! What a novel concept!

I wanted to work on my stars in a time warp project, which I am extremely far behind on. I was able to sew a few more blocks on this project. I am a little stumped on finding some of the specific fabrics but it is kind of fun.

This one is quercitron.

This one is block ground chintz. The background of the chintz is dark.

This one is white ground chintz. I didn't have enough so did actually piece some on the pieces together. Oh well!

This is fancy machine grounds. The background of the chintz has dots!

Easiest fabric to find: neat stripe.

I am struggling to find a pillar print, a wood block print and I can't find my indigo fabrics. Other than that, I'm caught up! Yeah!!

I'm heading up to Sunriver tomorrow to finish up a few things on the house and hope to get some  sewing done before the kids arrive next week!

I didn't show many wedding photos but now I can!  They were beautiful events!!

The judge is a friend of mine who flew up for the wedding!

One of Julia's friends made this painted sheet with a heart made of a German flag and American flag. They were given scissors to cut out the heart and my son carried Julia through the heart, as though over the threshold. It was very sweet.

These are my 3 kids and Julia. Not the best picture but still nice to have one of the 3 kids together.

Hope to get some sewing done this next week!

  1. Lovely event photos, Randy. A really handsome couple! I like the heart idea with the two flags.
I was sure that somewhere in my stash I must have a pillar print, but apparently not. Wish I could help.
    Enjoy your time away.
