Fabric purchases

I mentioned that I went to the local quilt shop near my son's new house in Ashburn, Virginia, and found some fun fabrics!  I figured since I don't have anything to share that has been finished, I'll share fabric that's waiting to be cut into!

I thought this was so interesting...  never seen anything like this.  I think it's a Benartex;  not sure how to use it.   Maybe as a border?

I love conversation prints and fabric with writing and couldn't pass these up.

The other find for me was a new Tula Pink line;  I actually bought a bundle of fat quarters, which I never do! I loved them all!

Purple and aqua blue are a great combination and I can see myself doing something just in those colors.  I need to make a baby quilt for my new granddaughter (to be born later this month) and they do not want pink!! ;-)

Have a great weekend.  I'm flying back home tomorrow--eager to be in my own home!

Stay safe!

  1. Loved your purchases! And what fabric store might that be? My son lives in Great Falls, near Ashburn, and when I visit I’d like to check it out.

  3. I skipped the caption just above the photo of Benartex fabric and was looking at the photo thinking it was such a lovely stack of fabrics! Then I went back and read the caption...🤣😂🤣....it’s all one fabric. I would have bought it too! It will be the perfect fabric for something one day and you’ll be so glad you bought it (and wish you had more).

  4. Yes. That is a Benartex fabric. It's part of the Soulshine & Daydreams collection by Kelly Rae Roberts.

  5. I always like to find quilt shops wherever I roam and see the variety of fabrics available in different parts of the country. I am surprised at each shop to see so many fabrics I've never seen before. Looks like you gathered some wonderful goodies. And a new granddaughter coming this month?? Exciting!

  12. Fun fabrics and that first one sort of looks like a crazy quilt cheater cloth, in a way. It is so cool. It's always so great to both travel, but also to get home to our own space and routines!
