I have recently been inundated with spam comments from anonymous writers so I've changed my settings so that you have to be a registered user. I'm not honestly sure what that means. I hope it doesn't keep out the real commenters from leaving comments.
It will eliminate the anonymous comments, though. I'm sorry if this is a problem for anyone. I just wanted to try to see if this will eliminate the spam.
I have some fabulous pictures to share of the Bouquets to Arts at the DeYoung Museum from last week that I will post later today.
Hope you are all having a great week.
Love to you all,
Randy
I had to do the same thing!
ReplyDeleteI've done it, too, Randy. Hey, even Bonnie did it not too long ago. But you won't be able to keep us away! : )
ReplyDeleteHi randy--I did the same thing--too much spam! Julierose
ReplyDeleteI had that problem too and eliminated anonymous comments. But still get spam. They are registered so not much left to do but just delete the comments.
ReplyDeleteNo Problem for those who really want to comment! LOL, I Blog for comments.
ReplyDeleteOnce I did that the spam slowed right down. As long as I don't have to verify, I'm ok with comments
ReplyDeleteI wasn't sure what that meant either, but I see we can still comment, so I'm doing it, too. I can't stand all those 'junk' comments I've been getting lately.
ReplyDeleteThe spam has gotten ridiculous. I had to do the same thing!
ReplyDeletetoo bad we can't put our 12 year old nerds on counter spam attack with an old traceless computer....
ReplyDeleteI hope I am registered, LOL!!!
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear that. What a pain!!! It takes just one bad apple to make the applesauce sour! I sure hope you won't quit blogging because I love reading your blog.
ReplyDeleteI changed mine recently to no anonymous and that helped tremendously!! It was getting very ANNOYING!
ReplyDeleteI really, really, really hate those pop up screens that are at the back of the group and play annoying commercials LOUDLY ... UGH!! Spam is everywhere!
ReplyDeleteJust checking to see if I have to do anything special to leave a comment. Looking forward to your pictures.
ReplyDeleteJust like Debbie, I am checking to see if I have to do anything special to leave a comment.
ReplyDeleteI am just trying to see if I can comment. I haven't had any spam on my blog yet but I have only been blogging for a few months. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteTesting testing 123. No-blog fan here. Really enjoy your blog - maybe after I retire in July (yay!) I will think about this blogging thing....
