I did this Cotton Club block of the month last year (approximately 5 blocks/month) and finally finished it yesterday. I love it. I think the setting is very unusual and I especially love the border fabric!! I enjoy mitering corners so I had a good time working these 4 corners just so!!
Oh nicely done, I especially like the colors you used, did you pull the fabrics for the blocks from the border fabric? I know you are happy to have the top done, will you machine quilt it?
ReplyDeleteHappy Sewing
Wow, you did such a beautiful job on this one!! Was it hard to miter those corners...gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Love the mitering!
ReplyDeleteFantstic, good for you. It is a beautiful quilt. MItering is something I must learn, it makes such a difference, adding immensely to the quilt. Piffle
ReplyDeleteAs I said on the last deleted post (which you can usually find on your "Posts" page as a draft--I've deleted them before, too), you did a great job on the mitering. I've only done mitered borders a couple of times, and the first time it was on stripes. What was a thinking? Actually, it worked out surprising well for a newbie. : )
ReplyDeleteIt is a beauty and your corners are perfect! Mitered corners just add so much, especially with stiped fabrics. Really frames all those pretty blocks.
ReplyDeleteIf you need someone towatch it for you ;) just sayin
Mitering makes the borders when you have a striped print to play with. Good Job. It's just as pretty in Part II.
ReplyDeleteLooks wonderful, love the mitered borders. I haven't tried that yet but they really make the quilt look special!
