Quilt show sponsor quilts

Yesterday I helped out the quilt show people by helping to distribute and hang up quilts in a lovely shopping district along the Deschutes River.  When we first arrived, one of the other women showed me a quilt that she was putting in the show.  It was a round robin quilt, but unlike any I'd ever seen before!

Here were some of the quilts that we hung:

Isn't this one great? It's Julia Child and it was hung in a kitchen supply store!

Have a great holiday weekend!

  1. Do you ever see any traditional quilts there anymore?
I really like the border on that first one--looks like stained glass.
    Julia Child is incredible!
Looking forward to seeing all of the quilt show fun through your eyes.

  3. Those are some beautiful quilts. I attended the Sisters show many years ago and loved it. Maybe I'll get back there one of these days (I'm assuming that's Sisters).

  4. I recognized Julia Child right away. She has been gone a long time. Who could forget her voice!

  6. Randy, the second quilt is Australian fabrics right? What a neat way to use them. Wish years ago I would have stepped out of my comfort zone and driven over to Sisters from the coast while all the males I was with where fishing. Long ways from Texas now.

  7. Absolutely LOVE the "Jill" quilt (1st one) ... such a cool take on a traditional quilt ;-) Such amazing talent in that show; glad you were able to participate. Thanks for letting us see it through your eyes. All is well here ... more later in PM. Linda

  8. Is this in conjunction with the Sisters Quilt Show? I wanted to go, but don't think I'll be able to. Hope you post lots of pictures!

  10. If those are just a couple of the quilts that are being hung, it's going to be quite a show! (As always)
