Quirky little quilts... at least I got something done and a GIVEAWAY

Well all I really have to show for this past week is a bunch of fun 9-patches for the Temecula Quilts quirky little quilts sewalong... quick and easy.

The instructions call for 5 blocks but I had fun using the leftovers and made some scrappy ones too.

Busy trying to plan my doll quilt... what fun!

How about a GIVEAWAY??
Send me a comment BY SATURDAY on what you're working on this week and I'll pick a lucky quilter to win a pattern for an adorable bag:
Sew Essential Carry All. I saw the bag done up in adorable Mickey Mouse fabric and just loved it!  I ordered two patterns by mistake
Be sure to send me your snail mail address, please.

  1. I am making four mug rugs for my cousin's birthday. She can use them when she has her knitting friends in.

  3. I love your tiny little 9-patch blocks especially the scrappy one. That looks like a decent size bag, so I'm in, if you don't mind sending it to Canada. (?) This week I am cutting more than I am sewing. Cutting fabric from different quilts. By Friday, I should be able to sit and sew, sew, sew the blues for 365 Challenge and Good Fortune. Thanks for the chance. ;^)

  4. I'll be away from home for a week and will have a lot of time in airports waiting for connecting flights, so I'm prepping lots of handwork to take along. And downloading books into my Kindle!

  5. Mostly working on assembling rows for Circa 1880--when I can steal a few minutes in the sewing room. But don't enter me in the drawing. I already have a bag pattern I have thought I would get made one day, but the bag you sent me is doing such a good job, I don't feel a need to make one! :)

  6. So far I've resisted the Quirky SAL, but love seeing all the tiny adorable blocks! I'm trying to motivate myself to start quilting a top on my HQ16, but may work on my One Block Wednesday blocks instead--less stressful!

  10. I just started the Sweetwater Cobblestone pattern, which I love, but took a small break to make hanging kitchen towels for my daughter-in-law and myself. I am so tired of towels falling on the floor! I had to laugh when you said you accidentally bought two patterns...I may have done that several times myself!
