I know you've been anxiously awaiting my posting of the Bonus Block today. I'm sure you've got nothing else to do... vbg
We are making a modified Lemoyne Star. NO set-in seams! WOOHOO. Once you have it pieced and pressed, you'll never know the difference. No quilt police here.
Background: Cut (4) 2" squares (corners)
Background: Cut (4) 2-1/2" squares (for hsts, 1-1/2" fin)
Medium: Cut (4) 2-1/2" squares
Dark: Cut (4) 2-1/2" squares
You are making 12 hsts (2" unfin, 1-1/2" fin):
4: background/dark
4: background/medium
4: dark/medium
We are driving back to California tomorrow so you won't hear from me until Tuesday... I'll announce the winner of the book. Thanks for all the great ideas!
Love to you all,
Randy
Whenever I make a Lemoyne star, this is my method! Great block.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a safe drive. We spend Memorial Day visiting the graves of relatives in our valley with extended family--will be taking in three cemeteries--and then we finish up with a picnic lunch, go home and plant our garden. How is that for fun? : )
Since I already did a LeMoyne Star I'll skip this one :0)
ReplyDeleteSafe travels and Happy Sewing
Even with wheat harvest going on here, I'm keeping up! WhoooHoooo!
