I'm the luckiest quilter in the world! DarLynn and Debbie came in on Saturday evening. My sweetest husband stayed an extra night here in order to see my friends before he headed back to California early Sunday morning. He even had dinner all cooked for us by the time we got back from the airport.
The 3 of us started sewing early on Sunday and worked feverishly until I went to the airport yesterday to get Bonnie, who now is also sewing at her usual pace!
A girl can never have too many rotary cutters, Debbie thinks!!
And DarLynn has completed one of her Blindman's Fancy blocks -- isn't it fabulous?
Do you see Bonnie there, pouring over her machine? She hadn't been in the house an hour before she was set up and had her pedal to the metal!!! That's my Bonnie!!
I'm in seventh heaven having my friends here in Sunriver. We're having a fabulous time and I'm loving every minute.
I promise to post my Sow-A-Long blocks, which were due last week, by tomorrow!!
Love to you all,
Have a great time Randy! Looks like you'll not only be visiting but be very productive too!ReplyDelete
Hey no rush on those blocks :0) we'll be here when you have the time.
Looks like fun!ReplyDelete
What fun! I'm so jealous--my poor sewing machine has been neglected as I work on home improvement projects in preparation for getting the house on the market. Wish I was going to Sisters--haven't been in several years.....ReplyDelete
Sure looks like fun! Oh how I wish I was there, please be sure to share lots of photos! Have a wonderful time!ReplyDelete
You are so lucky you have your friends and Bonnie. Thanks for posting and can't wait for the updates, you are going to have Quilting Ball. So sad about Bonnie's computer.ReplyDelete
I'm kind of relieved the Sow-Along blocks are a little late. With a family camp-out and a hectic summer, it has been nice not to fall behind--yet! : )ReplyDelete
Looks like you are having a grand time with your quilty friends. Enjoy!
Wow that looks like fun. Enjoy!ReplyDelete
Great fun, I'm glad to see Bonnie up and running with a machine, sooo sorry about her flight issues. Loving the Blind Man block, Lori's finished quilt makes this a tempting start. Have a great day!ReplyDelete
Is the one hourglass block supposed to facing a different direction than the others in Darlynn's block? Just wondering. Happy Retreat to you all! Wish I were there!!! Laura firstname.lastname@example.orgReplyDelete
Looks like everyone is getting a lot done. It didn't surprise me that DarLynn has your dog by her! Thanks for posting the pictures. I love sharing in the fun! --AndreaReplyDelete
Where are you holding your retreat? It looks fabulous. This is the first time in 9 years that our group isn't getting together for retreat and I am so sad. Too many family obligations. So maybe next year. In the meantime I can live vicariously through you. Enjoy your special time.ReplyDelete
Looks like you having a great time! Enjoy!ReplyDelete
