Binding on- check

I put the binding on one of the quilts I'm going to try to sell at the quilt show in Sisters. Honestly, if it doesn't sell I won't be upset. I never made a quilt for baby Jack, who is now 2!!! And my son's wife is having a boy (!!!) in November. Of course I still haven't made their wedding quilt yet. Vbg

This was made using orphan blocks in my own design. Can you tell that I like stars??!!!

I'm trying to decide what to do with my leftovers from the French General quilt. I do not want to put them  back in the stash!!

What do you do??  Someone suggested lozenges so I started cutting rectangles:
I want easy and quick that will use them up!!

  2. Nice scrappy quilt finish--lozenges would really be pretty with the leftovers, i think. hugs, Julierose

  5. A fun star quilt! Reminds me vaguely of Bonnie's Storytime Stars baby quilt.
Would any of those prints work to make a Quick Strippy quilt? My favorite go-to pattern for a really quilt lap quilt!

  6. Sell it? Oh no! It does look like a perfect baby quilt to me and it would stay in the family! Either way, it is beautiful. I adore scrap quilts!

  7. That quilt is so amazing, are you sure you don't want to gift it to Jack?
Your left overs from The French General quilt will look great no matter what you do with them. I think those rectangles will go together fast and you will have another finish!

  8. Hang on for awhile ... a few weeks ... Bonnie is coming up with a new "leaders/enders" cut that you might be interested in. I did the one from 2015/2016 and used up a LOT of scraps ... alternated them with a black/gold "solid" and when I get enough rows together will be putting a 1-1/2" solid black strip between them. The black makes all the colors just pop ... I used batiks, French General and ANY other leftovers from quilts that I had ... mixed them all up ... it's going to be a VERY nice quilt ;-) Linda
