Snowmen are done and GIVEAWAY time!!

Yeah!!  Finally can cross something off my UFO list!  Well, if I had a list, I'd cross it off!!  Vbg

I'm thinking a border would be good but I don't have the right fabric. Do you think I need a border??

If anyone thinks they'd like to make this, I'm happy to send you the pattern. It's by Bird Brain and is called "Snowmen and Reindeer Bluework Quilt".

I've also been cleaning my sewing room. I don't  seem to be very productive when I've got clutter. Know what I mean??

Now for a giveaway as part of my cleaning up:
I have three Marti Michell sets of templates I've never used.
Set A:  7 pieces 3" square basic set

Set B: 7 pieces 4" square basic set

Set P: 5 pieces 27-5/8" feathered star set

If you are interested in any of these, please send me a comment with your email address!!

  2. I vote for a border. Any combo of blue, white, and/or tan, which will give your snowmen a lovely frame. With all the work you put into them, you want this darling quilt to be the best that it can be, and the right border will make it sing!

The template sets look interesting. A or B might be within my skill level - lol!

  3. I also vote for a border. Maybe you can find a snowflake print? I already have all the templates I need, but thanks for the offer!

  4. I am taking a block of the month class that uses Marti Michell templates. Since I don't have the templates, I have been tracing them onto the fabric using my light box! I'd probably put a small border so that I wouldn't lose my cornerstones... Joann

  11. Your Snowman are wonderful. I need P for a pattern I have yet to make. Yes I would put a border. If you had the energy you could embroider white/blue snowflakes on black.

  18. I think your quilt would look good with a dark border, then more yellow / gold for the binding. I'd love to have the pattern.

  23. Yes, I think border... something light to offset your dark sashing. This looks really nice! I'd love a copy of the pattern. I love Marti's templates, I have quite a few so don't enter me into that unless it's for set P which I don't have. Thanks! aslottke at sbcglobal dot net.
