Hi Randy, I enjoy reading your blog and following along with your Barristers Blocks. Seeing your grandchildren grow is always a treat as well. As for what I would like to see....., I can't really think of anything. Thanks for a wonderful project to use up more of my scraps, as everytime I finish a project I have more sraps, hmmm, I wonder why that is? LOL

  2. Love seeing pics of your grandkids and your stories about Ryan. And of course, the Barrister's Blocks. Three more and I will be caught up again! I bought a few new red and black fabrics yesterday - hope to put them to good use soon. I would love to see more of your projects.

  3. Hi Randy, Love the Barristers blocks! Your grand ch are cute as well. I love scrappy sampler blocks and would like it if you did something like that basket sampler you showed a while back! quiltergail@hotmail.ca

  4. Love checking your blog to see what you are creating. I have not been able to keep up with the Sew along, but enjoy seeing directions that are so helpful in constructing the blocks.
I like Gail's idea of a basket sampler. It would be interesting to see what everyone would do with them, Fill them or just put them in an interesting setting.
Any vintage reproduction would be fun to make as a group.

  5. Hello Randy
I started following you awhile ago, the Sow a Long was defiantly the hook that caught my eye. Love seeing Bonnie and you both working on the variations. Also the take two project in red in white is something I have placed on my to do list. Thanks for all your work and dedication to helping up in blog-land. Greetings to your family and congratulation on your first of many 500 count!

  18. I have really enjoyed getting the sow along blocks. I haven't been able to keep up because I had to make a quilt as a wedding gift. The quilt is done and has been delivered so I can get busy with the sow along. I really enjoy reading about and seeing pictures of your grandchildren. I'm a loving Grammie, too. I would be extremely happy if you did another sew along. Congratulations on over 500 followers of which I am one. Thanks for the giveaway.

  20. I love this blog, it is my favorite next to Bonnies, and Bonnies is my daily fix! I am working on my blocks, I will have them all done after tomorrow. Hit a snag today and have to redo a couple of them, but won't be a problem. I have loved the sew a long, and would love to do another one. Congrats on over 500. I sent several your way... we have a group doing the sew a long....I think there are about 5 or 6 of us.

  21. Hi Randy - I'm completely addicted to your sow-along. I love having an online team I quilt with. I found your blog when Bonnie would reference her Jubilee Quilt. I'm not a real "cheddar" fan...so it wasn't until I saw your blocks that I was lured in! I like the basket idea from other posts....but I'd love to do houses for the next project.

  22. I love your sew along. Thanks so much for doing all the figuring on these blocks. It would take me a long time to figure this out myself.

  29. I too found you because of Bonnie. I am working on May right now. I print out the directions and do them at my quilting retreats. I was not going to participate when you were doing the blocks in the book, the one you had to divorce. Once you separated, I jumped right it. Since then someone gave me that book as well as Dear Jane. Too funny.

  32. I am having a wonderful time. Thank you! Thank you. I started watching at the beginning, but didn't start the sewing until my other project was finished. Now I'm playing "Ketchup", but I'm almost there. I'm trying to use all scraps - and agonizing over the fabric choices for each block - Just do it already ;). I hope you can work out the linky thing so we can have a "show and tell" space. jhillmatcomcastdotnet

  34. Hi Randy. What do I like about your blog? I enjoy the quilting, and the grandkids, and the travel and the meeting up with other quilters/bloggers and even the everyday-type annoyances. You're one of my "imaginary friends" and I look forward to reading your blog everyday. I'm enjoying the Sow-a-long and would be interested to do something like it again, but only you know what YOU would like to do. :) mdmontalvo@yahoo.com

  35. I started following your blog because of Bonnie Hunter. And I love both of the blogs. It gives me a look at quilters and what's going on with them in their quilting and personal lives from other areas of the States. I have enjoyed your blog and the sow-a-long. Yes, I'm behind on my blocks, but hope to catch up after all the festivals I have to attend with our quilt guild. Makes me feel a like I have friends everywhere!!! ninepatch@hotmail.com

  38. 500 - congratulations! I've enjoyed the sow-along plus reports on your visits with Lori and Bonnie in Sun River (and the Oregon connection). I thought I'd be able to do the sow-along, but so far it's been more of a read-along for me though I did pull out my 30s fabrics for it. I have the (unmentionable) book but planned to do my own sewing instructions, so I've loved that you have all the cutting and piecing instructions for each block. It's been fun to see others' collections of the blocks, too.
