Lori and Randy's Sow-A-Long

Lori and I wanted to do a joint project that wouldn't be overly taxing or take too long.  So we designed this small wall-hanging which won't take much time or effort.

I used a cherry red for my background and all neons for the rest of the pieces. My stems are black.  I just was in the mood for doing something wild.  When you see Lori's, you'll see how different (and beautiful) it will also look in red/white/blue!

 Hope you'll join in and enjoy the fun. The center applique is Lori's design.  I will post the instructions for the first pieced border in two weeks.  The second pieced border is mine as well and the instructions will be posted two weeks after that.  Lori's final applique border is two weeks later.

 Please let us know if you have any questions.  Or just share your progress.

    wow your right so different and yet just as beautiful. LOVE the red background , I think its so fun that you each made this quilt and so differently, thanks! its going to be fun following along and see what others do for fabric choices

    Your quilt is eye-popping and happy looking but not what I would call neon. There is a nice balance of style and color between your version and Lori's. And nice to be able to see two different looks.

    The two really do look different, but both beautiful. I am going to have to try and find time to squeeze in one more quilt. ;)

    I've heard it said that RED can be a Neutral. Happy to see the quilt before the SAL starts, you are sure tempting me...

    I have been WAITING for this and am so, so, so excited!! Can't wait for the first instructions ... spending time with my STASH ..... NOW!!! BTW ... I believe that red is the "new" black .... Linda

    Hi! I was [am] excited and anticipating this project [I ve done Lori's sew alongs]. And I dug out my red today! But now I am looking at the your schedule and I know I can t keep up. Intimidating! I'll have to be the ''slow kid sitting in the back'', lol.
