Circa 2016 anyone?

As if I need another project!!!

I was tempted by Temecula Quilts to do their latest project, Circa 2016.

The blocks are so small and cute. They don't take long to make.

These are the 9-patches.

My pinwheels!!
Aren't they cute??

My main project this week while we are at the cabin in Oregon is to work on my 9-11 quilt, which is very challenging to me!! Me and curved piecing don't get along very well!!

I haven't gotten very far!

Winners to be announced tomorrow!!

  8. Oh my, on all accounts! I thought about Temecula's 2016 as well, but luckily reality stopped me. I love your little blocks. As for the 9-11 quilt - whoa, can't even imagine all those little pieces, let alone curves. Have fun!

  9. Tempted, yes. Resisting, so far. But the blocks sure are cute, aren't they? : )
I am blown away by your 9-11. My goodness, woman, for someone who doesn't get along with curved piecing, you made a brave choice. Looks like you took a conflict resolution course, because your blocks look great!! What a stellar quilt this will be!

  10. 9 patches are cute...but keep at that 9-11. You'll get there, before you know it you will be done. The curves get easier as you do them. Like I said...STICK WITH IT. Love ya

  12. I am a big fan of 9Patch Block so it is very, VERY hard to say no to Temecula Circa 2016. Seeing your beautiful blocks makes it harder to resist. Awwhh! Enjoy it for me too please lol.
The 9-11 quilt is so amazing. Your "haven't gotten very far" progress is awesome. Hang in there, you'll never regret it. ;^)

  13. I had forgotten the 9-11 quilt. I remember buying the pattern at the Hampton, VA quilt show. I better dig that one out and look at it again. You know my list is so long, I'll never live long enough to make everything! Yours looks great!

  14. You made me look! Darn enablers out there in Blogland get me all the time. No worries, a few less CW scraps at my house would be a good thing. Don't tell my friend Janet O...

  15. I fell for those cute Temecula 9-patches too. Couldn't stop at just 12, and have made at least twice that many already. Too cute! Your 9-11 quilt will be amazing.

  16. Looks to me like you are just doing fine with curved piecing! Those are beautiful and challenging blocks - they will be worth the effort for sure. I'm so tempted to start on that Temecula quilt - it looks like something I am going to love!
