GIVEAWAY this week

I'm still trying to clean up my sewing room a bit, and I have a little something to give away, if you're interested.


It's the Darlene Zimmerman Dresden Plate ruler and instructions. If you like making Dresden Plates, this is the toy for you!

    I also have never made a dresden plate quilt. I have seen some really cute dresden flower quilts lately. Just received my new flowery layer cake in the mail which would go great with it.

    I love GIVEAWAYS - even though I already have one of these rulers - I can always use a backup. ;)) (Got one for myself and as a gift for a friend this last Christmas.) The directions show a really neat way to finish off the tops. There is supposed to be a tutorial on how it works at - www - dot - ezquilt - com - if anyone is interested. ;))

    I've not made any Dresden Plate quilts, but I have one that my grandmother had pieced. She started hand-quilting it before she died 22 years ago. It is currently on one of my quilt racks waiting for me to decide if I want to hand quilt the rest or longarm the remainder of the quilt.

    I've been wanting to do a new hand piecing project --- thought lifesavers would work --- and so would that ruler. Thanks for doing the blocks --- it's a nice way to add them over a period of time.

    I'd love to have that ruler. I'm not sure I'd ever do a Dresden plate quilt but I was thinking about buying it soon because I saw an awesome scrap quilt made by cutting the trapezoid shapes, sewing them end to end (wide to narrow) in rows and making a great quilt top.     Love the Dresden plate block. Working on 2 mini's right now (one scrappy and the other a graduated batik). Thinking of making the Dresden Welcome in browns. So many going thru my head. Thanks. Robert.
