Happy Wednesday everyone. Are you all caught up? Ready to undertake 3 more blocks?? It's the third Wednesday of June and Sow-A-Long day!! WOOHOO!!!
Clay's Choice

Dark: cut (5) 2-1/2" squares

Flock of Geese
Background: cut (1) 4" square, making 2 hsts 3-1/2" unfin, 3" fin
Dark: cut (1) 4" square
Background: cut (4) 2-1/2" squares, making 8 hsts 2" unfin, 1-1/2" fin
Mediums: cut (4) 2-1/2" squares
NOTE: I made two blocks since I made my small hsts scrappy and used only one fabric pair for each block. In order to do that, you will need to make another pair of dark 3-1/2" hsts.
I hope you have a great week!
Love to you all,
Randy
I like 'em, Randy. Great choices--and I see we are running on Eastern hemisphere time again! : )
ReplyDeletelove that flock of geese block I can see a whole quilt made with that block, great way to use up those scraps too!

I love them al! Can't wait to get.home and have some fun sewing them. Woohoo! And thank you so much, I'm teally enjoying your sew a. Long.....Linda...NC.
ReplyDeleteGreat blocks--again--and I'm such a bad girl. I'm so far behind, but that's a worn out line. Maybe if I'd just jump in on these 3 and slowly work backwards, post by post, to where I stopped. Is that legal?
ReplyDeleteLOL, of course it is, I started real late. Now I'm almost caught up. Lol.
DeleteWell.....I did not get caught up either, and feel somewhat better that I am not alone!! I am off as soon as I leave this comment to do a little cutting so maybe I can set a block or two tomorrow evening!! Great blocks Randy~!
ReplyDeleteClearly some folks are insufficiently OCD (hah!)! As soon as the new blocks are posted, I'm rooting through my fabric! As a relatively new quilter, I'm learning a lot as we proceed. Must confess, though, I've purchased Sharyn Craig's Setting Solutions to start to figure out how to include my early, weirdly sewn blocks in strange fabric combinations in a final quilt!
ReplyDeleteI found these blocks (so I'm really far behind) and your blog through another blog I follow. I can tell you that these blocks are first on my list to sew tomorrow and I've been searching through my fabric to find just the color/patterns I need. LOL! Can't wait to get started! Ah, how many blocks do I need to sew to catch up with the others????
