Can you guess its use??

When I was in Kansas City at Quilt Market, we found so many gadgets we had to have. This one, in particular, was extremely useful.

Any ideas what it does??

Hope everyone has a great weekend. Aren't we grateful for our fathers/husbands/sons? Give them a big hug!!

Love to you all,
Randy

  1. Probably a cutting mat shaver so you can have a smooth surface again. I've never used one but think it's a good gadget to own.

  2. I'm thinking it's originally a beard trimmer, but is used to CAREFULLY unpick seams. Just my guess!

  3. Is it used to make chenille on quilts?

  4. I think it's some sort of shaver.

  6. Wahl is the brand name of the clippers my husband uses to give himself a buzz haircut! Is it for "unsewing" embroideries?

  7. Since Wahl is known for making clippers, I am thinking maybe some sort of seam ripper, it kind of clips the thread. First I thought a device to shave the fuzz balls off of fabric that you sometimes get, but decided that didn't make much sense. LOL

  8. shaver to replace a seam ripper? Shaves part of the stiches off and then you don't have to pick out each stitch?
    Maybe?

  10. I dunno. I just know it's related to the hair clippers company we used to use. My husband would cut any male relative's hair who sat still long enough. If they sat, he trimmed.
This isn't a dispenser, is it? Like a tape dispenser? That wouldn't make sense. It's not big enough to hold a supply of anything.
    I give up.

  12. I got to try one out last weekend so it wouldn't be fair of me to say, would it? I need one.

  13. I think it's used to trim the fuzzy bits from your cutting mat to make it nice and smooth again.

  15. I know Wahl is famous for hair clippers! And I heard this is the newest way to "unsew" when you've made a mistake.

  16. My first thought was electric scissors....

  17. I love how it will unsew a seam that is long. :)
It also takes out embroidery mistakes.
