One of the best quilt shows around opens today in Santa Clara, called the PIQF.

I will have lots of pictures to show you.

I'm just wondering if anyone is going to be there and we can meet up...

Lori's sew a long blocks

My friend Lori of Humble Quilts posted instructions to do a very fun block.

I made two of them and plan to do the whole quilt next year with some friends. I think it's a fun block to make using left overs!!

A foot stool I've always wanted

I have always thought a foot stool was a great thing to have and I've been on the lookout for the perfect one.

More flea market find

My package with all my Wisconsin goodies arrived last week and I excited to show you my finds!

I have a couple of old cross stitch friendship wall hangings but this one is in a class all by itself! I love it!

Flea market find

Before I left Wisconsin, we went to the Elkhorn flea market where I found a great little antique quilt!! I love it.

It has a small stain and I'm not sure what it is or how to remove it.

Any suggestions? It might be ink but I'm not sure.

Quick little project

I just made this little top which was posted by Cherie. I need to quilt it but I love it. I'm really in the mood for a blue/white project!! Anybody else yearning for a new color combo this month??

Barn quilts

One of the many things I love about Wisconsin is that there are barn quilts found everywhere.  In fact, the town of Evansville, where our retreat was held, had a tourist map devoted exclusively to finding barn quilts throughout the town. I wasn't too successful at finding all of them but I did get some pictures. We also saw feed sacks on the clothes line!!

I'm hoping one day to have a barn quilt for my  garage here in California. I think my friends could show me how to do one...maybe during quilt show week in July!!
