Baby quilt?

I realized that I didn't get a quilt sewn for Emma yet. How is that even possible?  I was talking with my daughter about what kind of quilt she wants and we were thinking the 9-patch I made for Ryan is perfect and would allow me to measure her growth as the blocks are 3".

Isn't she adorable??

 I made a couple of sample blocks, just to see how they look.  We were thinking   teal and a pink for the center. I didn't have much time to really scavenge through my fabrics so I just grabbed some pieces. 

Note that these little 9-patches are sitting on the back of a burp cloth, so it's hard to tell how they will look with alternate fabric squares. :-)

 What do you think??

    I love the colors too! I love the simple 9 patch pattern for a baby quilt. It will be just in time for the upcoming chilly weather.

    Randy what a sweet pic of you and Emma! I love the colors you used in the 9-patch blocks, may I ask what size the squares/blocks are? I just found your blog site over the weekend, I was searching for blogs where I could follow along and make blocks using my reproduction fabrics.I like the blocks you have been sharing on your blog wish I would have found you at the beginning of the year! I do not have a Google account so I hope this will post on your blog page?

    Oh Randy, mamma and baby are adorable. I bet you are just having a ball. Love the colors for her quilt. I didn't get a quilt made for baby Dodge either. Her mom made one and so did 2 of her aunts. I may wait for his 1st birthday. Love to you and your darling grandchildren.

    I like, I like, I like A LOT!! Your little Emma is so, so sweet ... hard to NOT kiss all their skin off isn't it? I mean they smell sooooo good and are sooooo soft {{{sigh}}}...........

    What a cute bundle.Reminds me of when my own were that small. Now I can even say reminds me of when my grandkids were that small not that long ago. I like your idea of pink and teal go with it.

    Love the pink and teal. 9 patches are such simple blocks but with great fabrics make beautiful quilts. Fit for that little beauty. No go sew, it is getting cold. LOL

    Oh my goodness all that sweetness......nothing more wonderful than holding
    a newborn baby except when it is your own grandbaby!
    The nine patches look fabulous she'll love it forever!
