This is the first weekend in a very long time that we don't have our grandkids and we are home. It just seems so WEIRD!! vbg.
Anyway, my dh is outside butchering my trees (doing what he calls "trimming") and I'm trying to get a little sewing done. I find I am in that "in-between" stage once again where I'm really stuck, trying to decide what to do. This sew along has really been great for me, to keep me doing something on a regular basis! Not a lot of other sewing going on, though.
I did catch up on my two Triangle Gatherings blocks I was due to make:
I actually picked up these fabrics in Bend last week. Aren't they fun??
I did whip up another little bag... I just love these bags! And they make great gifts! The colors didn't come out very well... it is primarily blues.
Now back to my ufos or maybe the quilts I've been printing out this past year. Moda Blockheads? What colors?? Such problems!
Have a great weekend, everyone!
I especially like the fabrics in the first photo. I have grown to love polka dots recently. I too like to sew bags. I haven't made one in quite a long time, well over a year. I enjoy making them using up scraps and with no pattern, just jump in and start sewing. Yours looks terrific!ReplyDelete
I love your triangle blocks...I am so behind on those. Your bag is super fun!! My hubby butchers trees too...sigh...ReplyDelete
I find myself wondering what to do with my life in between projects too! LOLReplyDelete
Those triangle blocks are so fun!! Great fabrics. This quilt will be a smile maker when it is all finished.ReplyDelete
I love the bag, Randy, and I can guess that someone else will, too. ;)
Laughed about the butchered trees. DH "pruned" my 14 lilac bushes so well this year that I hardly got ANY blossoms.
Are you trying to tell us that you don't have a closet full of UFOs that need finishing (tell me it isn't so), or can you just not decide which ones to drag out?
Lovely fabrics in those blocks and such a nice little bag. It's hard to drop out and then come back and try to pick up...hugs, JulieroseReplyDelete
liking the block and the bag is so good did you use bosal or some similar foam stuff in it? Like you have blockheads downloaded but not done any yet. Enjoy your quiet weekend.ReplyDelete
Your bag is fabulous ! And how many blocks do you have to make ? They are very cute !ReplyDelete
I'm really loving your fabric choices on those sew a long blocks. And the bag is very cute, doesn't look like to many blues to me?! Sewing this week?....ReplyDelete
I find it hard too to figure out what do after I've finished a few things or even if I have a few spare moments or an unexpected quiet weekend. I can easily get sidetracked. Hope you were able to focus on something fun.ReplyDelete
You have that bag making down pat. Looks like a really good tote for carrying quilt projects or just whatever.ReplyDelete
LOVE your bag ... the colors are wonderful! I'm trying to do the Moda Blockheads ... using a bundle I've hard for awhile and supplementing where/when needed. It's fun learning the new techniques ;-) LindaReplyDelete
I vote for making your own quilts and sewing up your wish list. Such a cute bag!ReplyDelete
Cute bag! I like the triangle blocks too. Sometimes finishing a project you love can make falling in love with the next one can be hard. It's kind of like reading a book I really like and then I have a hard time getting into another on!ReplyDelete
Love the fabrics and colors of your HST blocks! And the bag is perfect!ReplyDelete
