During the drive up to our cabin with the grandkids, I was able to get a little hand sewing done. I mostly finished these three (one still needs the stems...)
This one needs the final border which has a lot of applique, and then I'll add the vines all around all sides. I'm loving it!
Sadly the week with the kids here is coming to an end. Went just way too fast. We had a great time with them and I think they did too.
The heat continues--the temps have been over 100* this week. That hasn't stopped my very adventurous mom...my husband was driving near her assisted living facility at noon the other day and saw her walking along the sidewalk with her walker! No hat, of course. According to her, it wasn't that hot. The temp was 100*!
What can you do???
Lovely wool works--this is really lovely; your Mom sounds like my Mom for sure--hardy, that generation...;)))
ReplyDeleteGlad you had a great time...hugs, Julierose
Those are charming little wool baskets. Very cute. Glad you had a wonderful week.
ReplyDeleteThose little baskets are adorable! I love the needle and spool background fabric on the last one. That little quilt is so sweet. I'm wondering how you will quilt it with all those wool pieces. But then, it is really just fine as a top!
ReplyDeleteOh, your Mom will keep her new residence staff on their toes!
ReplyDeleteLove the little wool baskets. Oh, baskets--that reminds me that I need to get sewing. :)
Too bad the staff isn't being more helpful with your mum.
ReplyDeleteCute wool pieces.
Cute wool appliqué! I can't wait to see the quilt finished! How big is it? It. Is so charming.
ReplyDeleteIt looks beautiful. Each of your works is unique. Thanks for doing such a great job. Your blog is really very inspiring. I am very happy that I found your blog and I can read such great posts.
