BONUS block - Battlegrounds variation

I know you won't want to wait until May 16th for more blocks, so I'm treating you to a bonus block! It's a variation of the Battlegrounds we just did. I'm calling it Variation of the hsts:

You'll need 16 hsts which will finish at 1-1/2" (that's 2" unf)! Please do it scrappy!

Hope you're having a great day.
Love to you all,
Randy

  1. What a pretty block. Love the scrappiness. This is a great substitution for a FW block that has set in seams. Not going down that road!

  2. Too, too cute! You're torturing me! I'm in Chattanooga on the way back to Florida and am dying to get to my sewing room. Mine will definitely be scrappy.

  5. Sweet....I had fun digging through my scraps to make battleground, first in blues then in reds. I got to take a workshop with Bonnie last Thursday and we talked about how much we are enjoying our Sow along with Randy. Thanks so much :0)...it's all fun.

    Happy sewing

    2. No, the first block for April 18 is the Dutchman's Puzzle. The second one is a Sawtooth Star, and the third is Hooker's Hot Patch. There is no name for the bonus block.

  7. Yikes, I haven't made the last three yet. Kinda crazy around here right now. May not be much sewing for a couple of weeks, but hopefully I will get caught up soon. I really like this block, Randy.

  8. This was a fun group of blocks (well, they all have been!). All caught up and enjoying them together on my design wall. I'm going to need to search for a bit more background fabric. Thanks for doing these...fun, fun.

  9. Crazy how turning the blocks a little changes the pattern... I'm saving this for the end when I have a lot of little hsts left over from my production sewing!

    Thanks, Randy!
