Sew a long anyone?

Sew I got to thinking (always dangerous) and think it might be fun to do a group project sewing the Farmers Wife quilt as a group!! There are a number of you who are interested in doing it or are already doing it. And we all need more projects, right? There might even already be a group in progress with a blog but we'd be starting anew.

So let me know if you're interested! I'm wondering if there are other crazies like me!

Off to the old Windy City today!!!
Randy

  1. How "fast" are you going to be trying to make the blocks? I have seen this being done on blogs in the past, but I never joined in. Lori's doll QAL is my first. So I may be game, because I have considered this quilt, but I wouldn't be able to keep up with a very stiff pace. : )

  2. I wish you all would stop tempting me with all of these wonderful quilts! I'm with Janet - I've thought of making it, but it may depend on the pace.

  3. I started a farmer's wife about two years ago and think a group of like minded quilters would help keep me moving forward on it. As long as the pace was not too fast.

  7. Now I really feel stupid 'cause I googled it and saw the picture and realised that Lori had shown me that picture and we had discussed it at Sunriver. Yikes, where is my memory these days! Oh well, cheers, any way...CW

  8. I will join you. Like Marj, I have some of the blocks completed but haven't touched it for quite some time. I'm with the others on the pace. I'm my guild's quilt show chair for 2013 (I know it's only 2012...these things take time! :) ) plus other guild projects and I'll admit I'm not very disciplined. That's what retirement has done for me!

  9. I have the book, I have the desire, but do I have the time? As with some of the others, I'd be interested in a group that keeps a slow and steady pace. And one that doesn't demand that every participant make every block.
